Europe 🥂 Part one
First stop📍Paris
In 2016, I boarded a flight in Chicago at the O'Hare airport and flew a lengthy nine hours to the city of Paris, France. Having studied the language for four years I was excited to experience the culture there firsthand. I quickly learned that when it comes to learning a foreign language, the best way to do it is by immersing yourself in that culture and being around native speakers.
Hotel • Park Hyatt - Paris Vendôme, in the heart of the city. A convenient location, as we were in walking distance of some of the most beautiful landmarks. We visited The Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Sacre-Couer, and Champs-Elysees. We went up in the Eiffel Tower, admired the art in the Louvre, saw the Cathedrale Notre Dame, rode on scooters down the busy streets, and enjoyed every moment we had there.
One night we had dinner at Michelin-starred Pur’ – Jean-François Rouquette at the Chef’s Table. All the food we had during our stay in Pairs was incredible, especially when compared to the food I eat here in the midwest.
After about five days of exploring the busy streets in the city of love, we boarded a train to Nice, France.
